H.I.D. - A high-intensity discharge (HID) lamp is a type of electrical lamp which produces light by means of an electric arc between tungsten electrodes housed inside a translucent or transparent fused quartz or fused alumina arc tube. This tube is filled with both gas and metal salts. The gas facilitates the arc's initial strike. Once the arc is started, it heats and evaporates the metal salts forming a plasma, which greatly increases the intensity of light produced by the arc and reduces its power consumption. High-intensity discharge lamps are a type of arc lamp
Q. Our Warranty on our HID kits -
A. Lifetime warranty on all of our bulbs and ballasts no questions asked, very simple.
Q. The Wattage of our HID kits -
A. All of our HID kits are 35 watt HID Bulbs and Ballasts; At this time we do not offer the 55 watt kits.
We will be adding 55W kits in the near future, but we recommend only installing them with the Relay Kit so there are no issues. We can special order the 55 watt kits if you want to get one from us.
Q. How our Bi-xenon (Hi and Lo) HID kits work (operate) -
A. All of our Hi and Lo kits run off of only one HID lighting capsule; when Low beam is switched on capsule lights up, when Hi beam is switched on the HID capsule is moved from it's normal position into a new position and changes the light beam pattern into a Hi beam pattern (bulb does not intensify in brightness and also does not change color). Why not Halogen Hi beam bulb or dual HID capsules; first all Hi and Lo kits with Halogen Hi beams arenot bright in any way, second dual HID capsules overheat and explode leaving you without HID's and causing damage to the inside of you headlight housing.
First off let me tell you a little about what is normally installed in a HID setup. Most people Get the LOW Beam bulb for their vehicle (if your vehicle uses 9006's for low beam and 9005's for high beams you would buy a set of 9006 HID's) The Low beams on most cars are always on when your lights are on so you will always have the HID on along with your halogen High beam. Be sure to verify that your low beams do stay on while highs are on if this is important to you.
These Kits Include 2 Bulbs, 2 Ballasts, and the wiring harness's which are just plug and play. There is no complicated wiring issues and the kits install usually within 30 - 45 minutes. If you can screw in a light bulb, you can install these kits!
Our HID kits are available in two different setups, The regular HID kits which give only one output (common for most of the bulbs) and Bi-Xenon for Low and High Beams for those of you who want the HID look for both with the single bulb (Standard on H4, H13, 9004 and 9007 Halogen bulbs).
